Yep, any bike welcome to piel, even may have a goldwing coming????

. Take it you are ok on lanes having an xr400. Some tricky sections, but all do able on big bikes eg 990s in the right hands. Keep an eye on the green lanes thread for updates. You camping Friday?

Just trying to get a figure of who is coming. Got 42 names down which is fantastic.

But if you are down to come along and definately cant make it please let me know, either PM or post up here.

I will be calling Piel on Friday evening and would like to give them a rough number. Doesnt have to be exact but it will help them get any extra staff for the bar. Think Piel said they were fine but any above 30 then extra help may be required to man the pumps.

Remember camping for the night is a fiver a tent. Ill probably come around when people are putting up their tents so if you can have a fiver handy that would be great. Ill then pocket the lot and spend it on beer.....joke, will hand it over to Piel like a good boy.

Going to be an amazing sight watching so many bikes cross the sands to the island.

ONLY THREE MORE SLEEPS TO PIEL ISLAND :woohoo:

Weather forecast for the North West is looking a bit suspect
Outlook for Friday to Sunday:

Rather cloudy with outbreaks of rain at times, though some drier spells. Feeling generally rather cool.

Issued at: 1600 on Wed 29 May 2013
However when you look at the specific 5 day forecast for Walney Island, Saturday and Sunday doesn't look too bad....

Me and another guy (Petr) are coming from Scunthorpe and meeting up with Kiwi Nick (Nicko) from York on Friday afternoon so we're over on Friday and need to know where the campsite is or we'll find one

John (already on the list as JohnC from XRV)

So with Petr we are +1 on the total

Just to recap.

Heading for this campsite Friday night.

http://baysbrownfarmcampsite.co.uk/index.html

It does state no groups on the website and I'm wary to phone them to ask the group question. I've previously contacted another site and they point blank refused, so we are all on our own for finding a place to camp Friday night. If I can't get in the above ill be heading for the great langdale national trust site.

http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/holiday ... -langdale/

If they won't let me camp then ill probably head back towards wainwrights inn near bays brown farm campsite (see the map on the campsite). Ill hang around there until approx 1930 and if anyone else has found a site come and let me know. My backup then is to point my bike up the closest mountain, get as far up as I can and then wild camp.

Saturday. Those that are trail riding, think there approx 6 of us. Meet at wainwrights inn. Or somewhere close and visible. We will be riding from here at 0830.

The crossing for piel is from snab point. We will be leaving here at 13:30. Don't be late. We will be guided across by a 4x4 from the island. No one is to cross without the guide. Ill probably ride out a hundred meters and park up to help anyone that needs picking up.

See you all there.
