Around the second week in September , Plymouth , Santander then on to jaca /allan and hopefully pick up some trails.

I do like the look of the Lynx fairing's only fitted a screen when I had the DRZ but can see one of them being fitted to the xchallenge. Did you buy it direct and if so how long from order to delivery?

You buy direct from them, order completion and shipping was done within weeks

I ordered 19/11/14 and had it delivered a few weeks before Xmas

Update 2

Well I have had a couple of great weekends away on the DRZ

Big Trailie / XRV weekend in Wiltshire was the first. 200 miles fully loaded down M6 & M5 saw me get there 3.5 hrs. Left at 6am and got there at 9.30 after a fuel stop at Cirencester and a 20 minute warm up. The bike sits nicely netween 64-68 mph (on satnav - speedo showed 70-75)

Fuel was surprising. I had read horrors stories of 45 pmg fully loaded and travelling at speed. The bike had returned a tad over 60 mpg. 148 miles and 11.27 ltrs. Steve at Motrac has done an excelent job of setting up and the fueling is spot on.

After setting up camp went off to Bovington to see some tanks and the museum. Thrashed it there and back. Total milegage for the day was 350 and the seat was very comfortable (thanks Tony Archer)

Day after was a wet start and muddy. Deep ruts, some quicker bits, sun in the afternoon and some excellent tracks and trails around Salisbury plain. Bike was returning 63 mpg. Replaced some of the nuts and bolts lost during the days riding.

This weekend I spent over at the caravan and did many UCRs and some easy tracks. The bike is consistently returning 60-63 mpg. Well pleased and loving the light weight and ease of riding.

With the Lynx cockpit fairing up front it doesn't feel like I am riding a much smaller bike than the ATs

Between the 2 weekends and a shakedown fully loaded test run a few weekends ago to the caravan at Porthmadog I have now covered 1500 miles. Sunday saw me seeking out a nice route from Porthmadog to the Ponderosa without touching any main road for 68 miles. Happy days.

Roll on next year and some proper trips

More of what we 'in-the-know' smugly understand ;) .... one of the best and least expensive bikes 'ready to go' out there. Look forward to hearing/seeing more (thumbs)
