Hi just heard there was a big avalanche in glencoe today and 4 people lost there
Life's sad times .

We are all in the pub and the band is playing happy

hi dave. as you know i could not make it. looks as if i missed a good weekend.very sad two here about 4 climbers being killed. scotlands worse accident on the mountains.cheers see you soon.alan.ps got my dad out of hospital he,s not bad for 93

Looks like you had a good night.
Been snowing in the central belt - don't know how far west but hope you get out of the glen and off south ok. If going east - A84 and 85 may be a bit picturesque :)

Will this weekend be considered extreme and be seen as some sort of benchmark ?

For any of you who may be heading south today, the M74 is clear right down to the border. Not sure whats happening into Englandshire.

But certainly from M77/M74/M8 right down M74 to border, no snow on carriageways. Dumfries & Galloway the motorway is both clear and dry right now. Not even that cold, sitting at freezing point in my garden.

Safe trip home whichever way you have to go you lucky beggars!
