Re closing the list - I did it to make sure the logistics stay manageable, also because the toilets and showers have a limited water supply at present which might be overwhelmed by too many crusty campers wanting a wash and "constitutional visit" at any one time.. !

If, as has been said there'll be quite a few no shows - I'd very much appreciate these members removing themselves from the attendees list and I can take a view on logistics again, once more huge thanks to the Mods helping me sort this out and of course my volounteer guides....

I won't be posting up the routes as I simply don't have the time, I'll try and prep some simple ROAD route instructions that can be navved via waypoints on the welcome sheet for those who prefer to plough their own furrows.....PLUS there's a great (and Legal) area of forestry roads VERY close by which includes a legal byway, for those who'd just like to "dabble in the gravel" directions will be on the welcome sheet.

jasext wrote:Spoken to Dragonwheels today, he is in the process of sorting this out. Those who have put their names down will now have to choose which group they will be in, as far as i am aware there will be 2 or 3 guided road rides, Myself taking the novice intermediate big bike ride, scrambled eggs more experienced big bike ride, Beddowsm details are posted on here, maybe 1 or 2 others if i can rope people in to guide, cant wait now
Sorry Mate but I am a little confused. I would like to ride my KTM 990 Adv rough-road/off-road and have done some such before on a couple of BMW 800GSs without claiming to be a great off-roader. Which group do I sign up to and where do I sign up?

Guys can you add your names to the relevant groups, there is a link on the very first page under the list of names.
This is only 2 weeks away and we need to sort out how many are in each group and make provisions if the groups are too big.
Breif descrition of the rides.

Jasext ride will include strata florida, the ride will cater for Novice to intermediate riders with trail tyres.

A friend of mine BigPete will lead a novice ride for the small bikes around the local area, again trail tyres will be needed as the are doing the Sarn helen and a few other lanes that may be quite boggy with a few stream crossing and deep puddles.

Scrammbled Eggs will take the more experienced or focused guys. a bit more difficult and faster ride.

Beddowsm will be doing the Strata Florida but is aimed at the more experianced and faster riders, who will have to make their own way back from Rhyader.

I know these areas very well and you will struggle unless you have some some of chunky tyre.
