OK installed Firefox on a test sysytem and no issues showing.
Installed adblock plus [the better of these] and still no issues
Installed Norton safe web still nothing.

I would suggest removing both add ons and install adblock plus to see if the issue still occours

The fact its trying to open another window suggests you have a redirect going on in the system

I removed adblocker ultimate and added adblocker plus, no obvious change, did some housekeeping on Firefox as it said I had 1Gb of data cookies etc so I cleared out a load of old cookies & downloads got the figure down to 50 mb, no change.

I will live with it or use Chrome. Perhaps future undates of Firefox , Windows, Norton may resolve it or it will just go away!

It is running correctly now,( it seems).
Did not run ccleaner as last time I used it it cleaned too well took an age to sort everything out.
Thought I would try a full reinstall of firefox but an earlier version. Searching for a source I found that I could refresh firefox so gave that a try and it appears to have worked, added the adblocker and it still works.
Fingers crossed etc.

Apologies if I'm doubling up (tripling up? as I messed up my first Contact Us message and had to send it again...) this one but my partner can't get the site to send a password reset email so he can log in to his account — and in trying to test this I've discovered mine won't send me emails either. I tried resetting my password and I tried using the Contact Us form, which claimed it would send me a copy of my message but has not. Some kind of messaging error going on? It's not a problem for me particularly, but my partner (MudFing) is pretty stuck!

For about 10 days now, every time I go on to the forum Cloudfare(?) wants to verify my identity as a human and every now and then it logs me out, despite having the keep me logged in box being ticked every time.

Not exactly the end of the world, just weird and slightly irritating.

Same for me on an android phone.
It first happened about 6 months ago but stopped after a week or two, this time it has happened for the last week and still doing it.
