Re: A photo you took, today
This afternoon I spent an idyllic hour in the Quiet Glen.
The sun was shining down on me.
There were no sounds of man or his machines.
Even the wind stopped its breeze occasionally, so not even the rustle of grass disturbed my tranquillity.
The gentle sound of the river, lightly splashing itself over the rocks and boulders of its bed were a very quiet background murmur, with a meadow pipit very occasionally uttering a tweet as it flitted from tussock to tussock.
Days like this don’t come along often, so when they do, soak them up and etch the details into memory.

2.00am,Still up after a long day so technically yesterday. Trondheim, Norway this morning, went to a bike meet and I was so impressed to see so many young people with bikes. Only a handful of old men like myself, virtually every one was teens or early 20's and really nice clean kids just having a great time.
Not too far from the Artic circle and still a sunny 19 degrees !

A village sign in Italy.
Apparently, they’re a proud village of outdoor-loving anti-transsexuals.
With very high hedges.

A pretty busy night at Scarcliffe bike night, pub under new ownership, food still excellent - I hope they get their alcohol license sorted soon and make a good go of it.
