You don't know how close you are to the truth with this one.
If he's allowed to caress one down at Edinburgh next weekend, he'll be flogging summit to fund a Crosstourer, you wait and see

Nice write up Jim, glad your back on the road.

Thanks for that Jim,
I was contemplating selling my Vara for something lighter and smaller but after looking at your post I have just been in the garage and given her a pat on the tank.
My Varadero has transported me 1000s of miles to farflung destinations, taken me and Maria on many mystery tours when I have skived off work on a sunny day and never let me down or even given a hint of trouble.

When I sold my 03 Vara I looked at every other brand and ended up with another Honda, it fits my requirments perfectly.

Cheers, Paul.

Been thinking the same as you Paul, but after a snap decision to go the Ace for the Overlanders I cant see me enjoying any other bike as much. I'm still hankering after an AT but the Varadero must be one of the best value for money bikes on the "adventure" market

Just got my 5th Varadero last week. Have done well over 100,000 miles on the other four without any worries or let downs. My dealer tells me that the only ones left are white ones and not to many of them. When there gone there gone. Then were looking at having to spend over £12,000 to get something that may be as good.

Got most of my billyboltons back in place. Just need to get out now and get it dirty.

Nice report, picked up my Varadero yesterday and rode it back home which was a mixture of motorway and A roads, Bloody love it!! Had a BMW R1150GS before and this engine is awesome by comparison, well chuffed. Hopefully here is a pic of my new Varadero.

Was out on my bike yesterday and passed the police in their new undercover car, an Aston Martin, so the Falkirk police cannot be short of money.

Just for the record it was stopped at the side of the road, they were examining a dodgey looking car and trailer carrying scrap.

All the same keep a good lookout for possible hazards that could spoil your day.

I love the look of the white ones, seriously thought about buying one but the reputation for being crap for MPG put me off.

Well on my 80 mile ride home yesterday, the Varadero averaged around 54mpg, so I do not think that is too bad!
