This is the first time I've been able to read a post for about a week. I keep getting the "banned" message. It's VERY irritating.

Gentlemen, I too share your frustration, annoyance and the experience of being ‘banned’ from the forum.

Unfortunately, the ABR websites have been blitzed with malicious cyberattacks by way of DDos onslaughts over the past month. At which point the Cloudflare defence system kicks in with the degree of protection to match the level of attack and maintain overall website integrity and security.

The attacks over the past month have been at a very high level from multiple sources and with forum software tending to be the weakest link in the website chain the level of ‘service denied’ automated defence has been extremely high – high enough to exclude me.

Should you be interested, here’s a link to a detailed explanation of a Ddos attack https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Denial-of ... techniques

We are now seeing the attack level decrease and hope to be back to normal soon.

Who is doing these attacks? It’s impossible to know. If I knew, I’d sort it.

Alun,

Thanks for the explanation.

I too have been unable to get anywhere near the forum section for over a month. Didn't realise how much "stuff" I was used to viewing on here.
It would appear, from the latest un-read post count that for me would be over a months worth, that many, many more have been refused entry to the forum. It's only after e-mailing the site overseerers yesterday that I can, today, access the forum.

Hope to bots leave the site alone and normal service can be resumed.

Steve T
