Tell me about it, i know from experience. I spent 13 years as a London despatch rider and had all the gear though one nice summer morning i decided i'd just use a pair of rigger boots for work, no real protection except for a steel toecap. I had a serious accident, not my fault, broke the tib and fib in my right leg. Had to go into traction in the hospital for a week which was to be honest shit. Imagine having a shit in traction, not clever i can tell you. I would still have broken my leg but not as bad i reckon, the crosser boots might have held it all together a bit better instead of next to useless rigger boots.
