Re: Does anyone actually make a trail bike?
Yes but looking at Nathan Millwards reviews he said it can only run on E5 fuel! That’s crazy, maybe it might be ok in France but riding through Sweden and Denmark I couldn’t find any at all so you have to be pretty restrictive on where you can take it.

I can't think of anything new but the XR250, DR250, DR200, KLX250 all fit the bill and can be had for the money.
I would say the beta alp 200 would not be ideal 2up but the 4.0 is a great.

And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Yeah I'd add the Voge 300 Rally. Just up to 4500 miles on that one I've got. It's doing the job.
The E5 situation is a potential issue. I've just done a LEJOG on it and pretty much every fill up it was E10, especially around Scotland. It ran fine on it. No discernible difference. What damage it might do long term I don't know, but it's a good bike. Very good really, especially for the price. It's a more engaging ride than the CRF300, at least as I've found it.

It would be really interesting to know why they don’t encourage E10…. Is it just that it doesn’t run so well or that they might have a problem with fuel lines or fuel pump issues?nathanm wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 10:47 am Yeah I'd add the Voge 300 Rally. Re: Does anyone actually make a trail bike?
...euro 5 is clearly not an issue in Kenya... . Shame we have to be denied of bikes because of it . And, I heard at the weekend that Suzuki have given up on getting the Suzuki Jimny car through Euro 5....but it's selling like hot cakes in other parts of the world...Brenhden wrote: ↑Tue Aug 15, 2023 10:30 amExcuse me I just need to pop out... to Kenya to buy a brand new DR650 and ride it home...StevieC wrote: ↑Mon Aug 14, 2023 9:07 pm You can still get the old DR200 and TS185ER brand new in Kenya

Just wait for Euro 7...emissions from tyres and brakes will be counted too.
It's obvious where all this is going and why.
Meanwhile, you can still buy scented candles, 'air-fresheners' etc...and their only purpose is to cause air pollution with particles, hydrocarbons, VOCs, etc
