I'll measure them when I finish work this afternoon but I don't think they're very long.

The poles are 470mm long and I have the tent split in two bags 500mm long which makes it much easier to pack away in the morning.

Nice idea Sefa to get all your gear into top box and panniers, but I reckon you will struggle for 2 people. Tent, sleeping bags, mats, plus clothes and any cooking gear you may need. Hope you succeed!

I would look at specialist backpacking tents in hotter tempertures you can use inner only or even a tarp and poles .
I would say you will be hard pushed to get a two man tent and gear for two in the boxes you have but not impossible.
MSR seem popular with overland couples.

My two man tent fits in a sleeping bag cover once the poles are out ... try stashing it like that ? Poles can poke in anywhere along the moto frame or across the box at the base ?

I realized that backpacking gear or bicycle camping gear is more useful and compact. And i found one tent for 3P with packed length 35cm.

Surprising very little in the way of actual recommendations on this post.

I've got two large top boxes for my XF650 and VX800 but they aren't mega mega large. I manage to fit my 2 man tent (if you're VERY good friends lol!), 3 season sleeping bag, foam pillow, sleeping mat (essential!) and various other fillers like puncture repair kit, map, etc all into one of these large top boxes:

- Quechua Quick HIker Ultra Light 2 man tent from Decathlon (and surprisingly still available after a few years) 1.96kg
- Kozi-Tec 3 season sleeping bag 2kg
- Exped Synmat Lite 5M 630g
- foam travel pillow from Mountain Warehouse

This kit has survived quite a few tours without issue so very happy with it. The tent was recommended to me from someone who used one to hike around the base of Mt Everest and was impressed with it. I've had no leaks but need a few days deluge type weather to really test the llittle bugger out.

XF650 makes a fair point about the lack of specific tent suggestions.
Did you make a decision on which tent ?
One (probably at least one) basic thing I missed out of my comments was of course the Temperature range that you might use the tent in ---- ventilation and entry options might be significant.
The worst thing might be you thought it was a minefield and gave up ---- I hope not.
