Also - have a good look at Medical Grade Gels.
Long story - but I've spent a lot of my professional life, putting unconscious people into unusual positions for many hours - and avoiding pressure damage was a bit of a thing for me...
Medically, gel is often used, as well as some specialist foams.
I have a seat that has been rebuilt, and that has a layer of gel within it as well as foam.
The trick with gel through, is to just use a small layer, as if its too deep, it allows you to slide off, if you see what I mean.
