I'll be there early April so hopefully there won't be too many crowds. My only concern is hotels and restaurants being available as its before the season starts.
And now, Harry, let us step out into the night and pursue that flighty temptress, adventure.

Yep, Athens is a bit grotty in places but you must visit the Parthenon and to see the locals and eat where they eat go to the Plaka district. Mind you my experience was 25 years ago :P

Your tour sounds ace (thumbs)

Yup, fabulous idea Bren, as always. Patrick Leigh Fermour wood make a great travel companion for you. 'A Time of Gifts' is fantastic, truly inspiring ... although he doesn't get as far as Greece in that volume

What a great idea for a trip (thumbs) . Sounds right up my street.
Can I ask about the 250 hire? where from? what's the deal? Quite fancy doing something like this myself.
Thanks.

I'm Greek and you have a great route there!!

Don't worry about accomodation - there will be plenty available. Use AirBnB as a lot of locals rent their places out this way.

When in April are you going as it's Easter and that would make an even better time with all the festivities.

The bike is an Inazuma. I think I got a discount as I'm there early 30/03 to 04/04 and it's about 36€ a day with roadside cover, insurance, lock, top box, helmet and 250km a day. They had lots to hire and seem more reputable than the usual moped types. Motorent.gr

I'll let you know how goes. Not sure about a rental helmet so I've asked for photos. Without taking my own I can go hand luggage only which is cool although I reckon I could squeeze in a p!sspot...
