API...Advanced Passenger Information...basically your passport number and ID details have to be recorded by eurotunnel before you cross.

Went through Portsmouth both ways in the last two weeks, no unusual security and bikes just waved through as normal (apart from having to remove helmet for passport control coming back).nevsey wrote:Since March 2015, exit and entry checks ie api. Coming back the French made us do it ourselves
