how do you use the private browsing, the same with fights the more you keep checking the fight times and costs they go up, use another pc and its cheaper. the guy who invented this software musts have made millions92kk k100lt 193214 wrote:Been in that situation and now always check on line pricing. Hotels are same.
One has to play them at their own game. When you go on line use private browsing too, they track you and screw you when you come back again.

a trick i do with flights is to book them the minute they become available as this is the cheapest they will be, this could be 15 months into the future

Private browsing. On Firefox you open a new private window under the File menu.ollydog wrote:how do you use the private browsing, the same with fights the more you keep checking the fight times and costs they go up, use another pc and its cheaper. the guy who invented this software musts have made millions92kk k100lt 193214 wrote:Been in that situation and now always check on line pricing. There isn't a problem, it seems someone didn't use common sense and got stung in the wallet-Ralph- wrote:Pricing against supply and demand, and discounting in advance is standard practice on planes, trains, coaches, ferries, theatre, cinema, amusement parks, hotels, just about anything that can be booked in advance.

Want something in a rush?
I always put my prices up in my business - for the hassle and inconvenience

Same thing on hotels. I was in Glasgow after a bike trip around Scotland and wanted somwhere to stay. Turned up at this big hotel in the centre of Glasgow and there was a que at reception. The big board behind the woman stated £129 for a single room so while waiting in the que I got on booking.com found the hotel and booked it while I was waiting for £60.
The only problem was when i got to the front she didn't have the booking yet and had to wait a few minutes.
Moral of the story, book early, save ££££

I have often done that one. Even did after trying to knock the price of a room at reception and being stonewalled 'very sorry but its the best we can possibly do crap'. Boy dot he cross when they find you have caught them, even better when its using their wifi.waynecoluk wrote:Same thing on hotels. Pissed a pizza shop off one evening, called in and saw on line bookings buy one get one free offer. Dope behind the counter would not give me the free one. Back out to car, go on line, make my order and walk back in. The delay was worth it for the look on his face.
If I get caught at ferry or airports I ring daughter to go on line and sort it, always a good price.
