Glad to stumble across this forum, after chatting to a guy at this weekend's MCN Festival in Peterborough.

Well, we've recently returned to the UK after having spent the last four decades in Africa. I was fortunate to grow up with lions in the front garden, crocs in the local swimming pool river), and lots of bikes in the garage.

Looking forward to meeting many of you, and getting to share some local trails, tours and campfire stories.
Cheers,
Wayne

So what are you riding now  ?
Brenhden wrote:Hi and welcome abroad from Sunny Somerset. What did you ride out there and what have you got now?
Hi Heff and Brenhden, We had to sell off a number of the bikes before we arrived in the UK, except for my late father's 1967 BSA Spitfire... Way too much history and restoration love, sweat and tears, to leave her behind. :P

But we have managed to get hold of a Tiger 800 XC (which is now seriously sorted with some nice adventure bolt-ons, and an ex-forces Pan for the long distance two-up touring (thumbs)

where about were you from ?
Lived all over the place, John... Mimosa, Shabani, Selebwe Pikwe, Klerksdorp, Joburg, Cape Town, Port Elizabeth, Windhoek, and Gaborone. (Ya, we're pretty good at packing  )
But the last longish stretch was in the Mother City, Cape Town.

Where you from, Boet?
