Forma Terra boots:
The new adventure boot from forma, its an upgrade from the adventure. Nice and soft but good support in certain areas and definitely waterproof. Only used these a handful of times but that includes deep water, heavy rain and offroad use on a big bike. Only negative so far is that they are not made for people with fat calves (like me) so the leg section only just fits. I'm hoping they will loosen up a little in that area over time. These are also from ABW.

Mike
Would these stand up to trailriding (not racing) in the Dales on a sub 500c bike
They look a good boot and half the price of the Sidi Crossfires
The problem I have with Enduro/MX boots designed for racing, is that the soles are smooth and not grippy enough for trailriding

I bought these Sidi Adventure Boots to replace some TCX goretex infinity ones - which were very comfy but a bit lacking in the ankle protection.
The Sidi's are very comfy and seem very robust - also 100% waterproof so far and boy have they been tested during our pants summer so far.
I went a size up (normally a 44) to a 45 and this was definitely needed. They come up small on the sizing.
Also I ordered them from Germany at a substantial saving over the UK - they arrived in 3 days
(thumbs)
And now the product I wish I had not bought -
the good old BMW Rallye 3 Suit
I hate the drop liner in it - not a patch on my old Hein Gericke Goretex TRG Suit
and the pants keep falling down as they have no braces and just crappy small velcro adjusters on the waist.
the knee pads wont stay in place either
It cost me a lot of money - but at least I did not pay full price for it
Its going on ebay shortly I think
ya live n learn

Cheers Mike
It's ankle/shin protection that interests me most, along with a good sole
Some of the other 'adventure' style boots fall short on that front
Cheers for the tip Mike (thumbs)

Getting to be an old model now so sure to be a new version out and hopefully discounts around but the best off road boot proper has thus far for me been the TCX pro 2:1.
http://www.tcxboots.com/eng/prodotti-de ... ategoria=5 Best trousers which have taken a true beating in racing and trail riding have been the Klim Dakar. The rest of my gear is mostly crap and falling apart

Klim Badlands once it came down a couple of hundred quid. Summer over a T Shirt and Winter over a fleece layer and no more worries about sufficient additional armour or dicking about with multi layered jacket. No need to carry extra waterproofs. Integral body belt and D30 armour including decent back protector. Fits like a glove, not the perfect jacket but the perfect "put it on and ride" item.
