light wrist exercises, try squeezing a tennis ball in your hand don't need to go to the gym avoid using weights for A while, it will take time to build up the strength again (the older you are the longer it takes)
Don't rely on a wrist support's.

Sure some have been in same situation , what confounds me is that in just 5 weeks in plaster the whole wrist looses strengthband the tendons/ligaments contract.
Hate to think what would happen or recoperation time after a serious accident with months in hospital...complicqted thing the human body...

in many ways yes it is, but in simple terms which how I view it "use it or loose it" you gain back usage quicker than building it in the first place.Tramp wrote:Cheers.folks....

Exercise is not always the end all and be all of rehab, if you have a subluxed joint one that's not quite aligned correctly it needs realigning and some times it needs a little outside help of a Chiro or Osteo. I would argue muscles in spasm do not release that spasm just because you did a little exercise they may need a little help also.
Think of the body like a bike, all the units have to be functioning correctly for the bike to function at it's peak, think how much damage a misaligned chain or one with tight links can do and the loss of performance from those problems your body is just the same.
