How does the tea in Istanbul taste like??!

I went to the Ukrain last year,crossed the length to Odessa and to the black sea.
Went into Moldova and back via Romania, czeck republic,and slovakia.
To be honest Ukrain was ok, but nothing special,shocking roads though. Some were like a ww1 battle field.The people were friendly but the Police were just highway robbers,out to fleece you of your money. If you do go they will be waiting for you on the way into every town and village so watch your speed.
We all agreed that Romania and Moldova were the high point of the trip.Given the current situation
Id be tempted to miss the Ukrain in favour of spending more time in those countries,the transfargarsen is a road you'll never forget.The church of bones is worth seeing in a macabre sort of way.
Bulgaria is very nice, again poor roads, Rural Albania is great, Montenegro is stunning.
Of all the touring Ive done the old slav and Adriatic coast stands out as my favourit.
As for the tea in Istanbul, Im a coffee man, so can't help there.

no problem, the Transfagarasan highway is in romania near Sibiu.
the church of bones is in kutna hora about an hour or so from prague.

Hi Geordy Paul,
Won't the Transfagarasan be closed at the start of April anyway? I think we'll be steering clear of it so early in the year as it is probably impassable at the higher altitudes.

Yeah bummer as it's supposed to be a really stunning road, but we're still young so maybe we'll make it there on another trip when the weather is a bit warmer:-)
The church of bones could be interesting though if we detour that way round...that place is spooky:evil:

In September this year we are looking to do a similar route to yours through Germany, Austria(Grossglockner), Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Greece taking about 3 weeks to get there. Her indoors will fly back leaving me to find my way home hopefully via the Transfagareson Pass.

I've just got back from a 10,000 miler through a lot of the places mentioned. For us, Georgia was the cream of the trip. Awesome off roading. This was a mountain pass in the Caucasus mountains. It had only been open 2 days. We were the first tourists over this year.

I found the Tea to be typical Moorish Tea in a small glass cup quite weak, if you live in a town look out for a turkish cafe restaraunt or go to seven sisters N London known as little turkey.
Mostly made up of Greek and Turkish lovley buklava and you can buy decent turkish coffee from Yisher Yashim.
To make at home.

I pers drink both the Tea reminds me of Arabic Tea black and weak with flavour bit like Earl grey less mergomot though.
Although you can buy T bags lol

The way our route is planned so far will not take us so much inland in Romania as Sibiu. We're heading for Moldova instead BUT we are now considering altering the departure date to mid May instead.
