Have been having an intermittent headlamp problem for a little while now. Took to Yam dealer Friday to try and get it fixed under warranty only to be told that they have had a recall notice in the last few days to fit the new improved harness to all super Tens and R1.

Just to let you know I've received a recall notice to replace the headlight sub lead with a new part.Thanks for highlighting the issue because I heard it on here first.

I also had my recall notice, contacted the dealers to try and book it in, but not that simple!
Before anything happens I have to send them a copy of the recall notice, "why" says I, "so we have the bikes details" says he, "but" says I "you have the bikes details already as I bought the bloody thing off you!" "ah" says he, "we need the details of the bike off the notice"!!!???
I think it's called "pissing against the wind" so I've given up and sent it.

My bike went in for its first service today and the warranty recall work was done at the same time. Not had any official notice from Yamaha but my bike dealer just sorted it no problems

Had my recall letter as well today.
Wish it had been last week as the bike was in for is 36000 service.

Just called Alf England and they had previous owner listed
Parts now on order and will call me when ready for me to take bike up (thumbs) (thumbs)
