BeePee..... that was my next question. Been researching the mounts and apparently the GoPro mounts shatter and fracture....badly made. Are the RAM ones metal? Any suggestions/help greatly received!
Adieboy.....I never record anything incriminating!

I'm in sunny South Africa and also got Gopro Hero3 Black Edition in November last year Nice handy toy, just that the editing takes hours to do Beepee, thanks for the RAM mount idea, using a RAM mount for my GPS, and it's perfect

Let me know how you get on with this, I've been looking at the MUVI cam although not as popular it seems to get good reviews...
Awaiting the next Speilberg...

Adieboy.....I've been using a Muvi previously (my YouTube has videos using it).
Been thinking about one of the two below....possibly the K-Edge

Re: New Go Pro Hero 3
Those are nice looking mounts but just some tips/comments...
- ultimately the mount is only as strong as the case which is still plastic.
- those ali ones work well on a MTB but you might find it hard to get an unbobstructed view on a motorbike
- depending on what you ride, fixed mount to the bike can be a bit viby. Results in making you feel sick watching back
- I find best results are on the helmet or chest mount
- you tend to move your head out of the way of things
- not had one shatter on me
Ram mount kit...
- you can buy a tripod adaptor for the gopro and then just use the screw fitting
- a bit of rubber on the screw fitting takes some vibe out of it.
I'd have a bit of a play first, study your bike and figure out the pitfalls before spending too much dosh on mounts.

I use the GoPro tripod adapter, like one of these:

as then there's loads of options for fitting it. Presently I use an auxiliary lighting bracket. Just then need to buy a bolt that's the same as a tripod one and Roberts your brothers sibling

Re: New Go Pro Hero 3
Thank you! You're right.....I need to have a play.... what I'm worried about is the camera coming off due to a sh*t mount. The feedback on the standard GoPro ones is woeful and there is palpable anger from people about the quality of materials and build on their standard mounts.
I'll investigate the helmet mounts.... but would love some form of bike mount.

I had the gopro handlebar mount and just couldn't get it to stop shaking about no matter what I did. I had it on my mountain bike and went to steady it and the whole camera fell off in my hand while riding, luckily it was on my mb and not the Monster !Moorso wrote:Thank you! Haven't used any gopro mounts since, even have a ram mount mobile phone holder in my van, a suction mount that travelled through europe from Bulgaria on a Mercedes windscreen and a couple others to vary where I clamp to the bike, a handlebar lever clamp mount thingy and a bar mount. Best gear in the market and lifetime warranty, check out
