I have been busy today , looking out all our big camping gear .
So much stuff compared to trying to fit everything on the Transalp .

Ready for the off on Thursday Morning .. should be at Ullapool 2pm ..
The HQ will be then set up as best we can (Big White Merc Hire Van) with awning .. etc .


On Saturday , I am waiting to see the weather then deciding , but found a nice single track loop near Laxford Junction that I may head for .

Or durness , and loch hope .. depends on how I am feeling and the weather ..

The main aim for me this year .. relax and enjoy ..

Fiona and me are heading up on Friday, weather permitting, (otherwise straight over from Inverness), heading north from Inverness to Tongue, Durness, down to Ullapool around teatime. Tent up, provisions bought, change out of bike gear and ready for supper.
Saturday, I'm thinking up the coast, Lochinver, Auchiltibuie, Durness for Lunch at Smoo cave, back via Altnaharra and Lairg. Just short of 200 miles. Back in time for tea!
Sunday, we're going on Austin's invited rideout. Weather will decide whether we stay Sunday night. Home either Sunday night or Monday afternoon.

Im planning on riding the coast around to applecross sat, sun nothing set in stone and monday ride the west coast up to john o groats ready to head for lands end

Well just finished the route up and the Saturday run to Applecross. Looks like there are limited options so will probably be doing the same route as you Jim. Will chat on Friday about it. Fancying a run to cape cape wrath on Sunday.
