Where did you ride 2day ?
Re: Where did you ride 2day ?
I went off-roading with a couple of friends in Offchurch, got stuck, fell off, boots filled with water, and had a ball doing it. Now I need to find something to stop my boots scratching hell out of my side panels. Any suggestions welcome.

Try helicopter tape Craig. Its a very thin clear plastic film that sticks on. You can get it off ebay.

You are so lucky Nomad - such lovely weather and blue skys
On Sunday, I finished bolting the bike together after a service and upgrades so couldn't resist going for a ride even in the rain.
Also playing with a new cam, and trailing adobe elements before parting with my money so please excuse the rubbish video, but it provides a taste of my local roads and weather at the weekend - I think its a little more interesting after a few minutes, but just playing/learning how to edit videos!

This has been bugging me since reading this. Used to have the same problem on trials bikes.CRAIGREVO wrote:I went off-roading with a couple of friends in Offchurch, got stuck, fell off, boots filled with water, and had a ball doing it. To cure it I used clear "Fablon" sticky back plastic on a roll.
Did'nt post the suggetion as I was'nt sure it's still available.
Went to B&Q tonight and it is :woohoo:
Comes in many various colours and patterns and clear gloss!
4 metre roll, 450mm wide. £5.00 I think.

I jumped on the Varadero, blasted south to Dover and hit the ferry to calais. a fast ride South through France and into glorious Spanish sunshine. Rode the plains getting warmer all the time as I headed to Gibraltar. A quick ferry to Cueta and ever South toward Morrocco, great scenery, food and developing a good tan, bike running well it was like a dream.
"Oh damn it"
Alarm has just gone off, fallen out of bed, its raining, I hate Cumbria in winter

Lifes a bitch!
I have to go to Auxerre in France on Monday to quote for a job, so what better plan than visit The Ace Cafe then drop the Topbox off Near Reading, which I sold on here last week and then the overnight crossing Portsmouth-Caen then 250 miles of the finest French back roads then a couple more days plodding round the Loire Valley before returning!
& its not a dream!!!!
Can`t wait :cheer: :cheer:

Re: Where did you ride 2day ?
Today I rode to Wales. Woke up this morning and felt like a ride so thought I'd start the nature rally off. I love the Brecon Beacons, have hiked/camped there many times, so thought I'd go there as I've not been for a while. Forgotten how lovely it is and this is the first time I've been on a bike rather than on a train. The roads are great. I even found a little greenlane to play on, although I wouldn't have gone on it if it wasn't dry. Avon Storms are not known for their mudplugging abilities. Hmmm, "TKCs" you say? "Be easy" you say? :side:
A common (or garden) Brecon road:

The Beacons Reservoir in the Taff Fawr Valley:

A rest stop for a quick tuna sandwich:

I'll put the greenlaning picture up somewhere else, not sure if its frowned upon to post the same picture in different posts.

Great photos.
You worry to much about what frowned upon, just post away but if its wrong then you will be hunted down and killed
I don't know how long TKCs would last on a bandit, or you on a bandit with TKCs for that matter.
