Pin lock misting

Does anyone have any ideas on stopping a pin lock from misting up. It does only happen on the left side ????

have you checked if the seal is right and stuck to the visor? it happened to me before because pinlock seal wasn't stuck to the visit properly.

Little strip of Duct tape along the bottom to hold the inner still! On all my recent rides I was suffering the same (mainly on the left) I messed with it loads, then put a little marker pen on it and found when pulling my visor up at the left it was distorting it and breaking the seal and causing the inner to drop slightly

Sophies helmet has 25% of the use of mine & doesnt do it yet!

Make sure it has a good seal by trying to insert a piece of paper between pinlock and visor, my X-Lite X551 is fine now I have re-set it, max vision visor on Arai Condor is a pain in the ar*e and if not sealed properly mine mists on left as well.

Take the pinlock off leave to dry for 24 hours and refit making sure of good seal.

If it used to seal ok but now doesn't, the pins might have rotated slightly (they are eccentric). Try taking off the insert, rotating the pins to the narrowest setting, then refitting the insert. It might now be a better seal against the visor.

Take the pin-lock insert off of the visor, and bend the visor, so that each side touches, then put the insert back in, this will create a better seal. Then, to make sure the insert is well and truly sealed, adjust the pins , then test with paper as mentioned. Another way to guarantee a seal is run the tiniest amount of vaselene around the rubber part then re insert the insert.

Make sure the seals are against the visor at the top and bottom.
Semi-flatten the visor, locate the insert in the pins and as you slowly release the tension on the visor wobble the insert to find the middle point... I hope this make sense. Once that's done look down the visor to check the gap between it and the insert.

This system is the best I've owned. I wouldn't go back... especially to Caberg but that's a different story.

It looks like a tour-x 3 in your avatar, my pinlock does not work as good on mine as it has on all my other helmets, I took mine off and give it a clean and rotated the pins it still not perfect but it seems better
