I hate my local Ducati dealer with a vengance, if they were on fire in the gutter I would struggle to pee on them !

But I have nothing but praise for THUNDER ROAD MOTOR CYCLES in Bridgend. They have allways looked after me when I have had a problem, and I would thoughly recommend them, Steve or Chris allways make me feel valued and giving them my [strike]wifes[/strike] money seems natural !

I find it amazing that the crap dealers can stay in business

I thankfully got in touch with SBW BMW in Hertford, who put a fantastic deal on the table and delivered it to me because of the icy conditions. Their service is top draw. And having bought close to 12 bikes in all my years of biking, SBW's has yet to be beaten.
Its a shame when you turn up with your hard earned cash and you have to deal with arsholes.....
Whilst Stephen and the guys at SBW are very nice, neither my wife or me were impressed when last year we wanted to change bikes (a F800R and F800GS both purchased from SBW) but were told they didn't want them in part exchange "as they had too many second hand bikes". Having been a customer since 1987 it was a bit of a surprise.

We voted with our feet and went to Pure Triumph in Woburn where after numerous test rides (all free ;) ) we went for a Street Triple for her and a Tiger 1050 for me. They took both our beemers in px, gaves us very good prices for them and both were sold on in a couple of weeks. At a decent mark up I might add, I have no problem with that but the impression I got from SBW was that our bikes would be almost unsaleable (despite both being low mileage and in perfect condition), clearly not the case!

I popped into SBW a week after getting the Tiger and was subjected to what I can only describe as an "interrogation" as to why I had dared to buy something other than a BMW. It seems they expect brand loyalty but are not prepared to work for it, I haven't been in there since.

Mind you I am now wondering how I am going to get on with the Tiger following my busted knee, the riding position is nice and upright but the pegs are rather high and far back!

I have to say that since then I have discovered the KTM centre in Hemel Hempstead as the only place where I can get a decent selection of off-road kit in Hertfordshire (and I seem to have bought loads since I started Rally Racing), they are a great bunch of guys. So come the spring maybe a 990 Adv?????
