Honda Announces New Electric Motorcycle “Honda WN7” in Europe.
Previously introduced as Honda EV Fun at Eicma 2024.
First real electric motorcycle from one of the big four from Japan. According to the official blurb it will have nice power, 600 to 1000 cc equivalent. Range is nothing to brag about, but it will have CCS2 and be able to charge 20 to 80% in 30 minutes. Price is guestimated above 12000 Euros. Maybe closer to fifteen where taxes are higher.

Re: Honda WN7
Apart from the fast charge a bit like ten year old Zero. Or maybe Energica. But from long standing manufacturer that has pretty high quality and widespread dealer network.
Champagne taste on beer budget.

Re: Honda WN7
Estimated range of 83 miles. I’m sure the torque will be insane but that range is woefully small

Interestingly silent on the weight front.
2022 Triumph Tiger 900 Rally Pro sadly gone due to ill health.
Now on a 2025 Triumph Scrambler 400X but may be fitter next year.

And like all EV bikes, it looks as ugly as sin.

Re: Honda WN7
Crazy. It's almost same range as the one gallon tank in Honda Supercub. Unlike that you can't take a small refill with you in a bottle. Honda does depend on the fast charge to reduce the effect of the short range. But although half an hour to charge from 20 to 80% might be fast for electric vehicle, it's not fast at all.
Like almost every new new bike, ICE or EV. It is nice that you don't need taste or even full vision to make it as a designer these days.
I guessed about 200 kilos.
Official weight is 217 kg. Starting price is 15799 euros (in the Netherlands). Available power oprions are either 18kW for A2 license or 11 kW for A1 license.

Re: Honda WN7
More information is slowly dribbling in from various sources.
UK price is supposed to be 12.999 GBP.
Motor is liquid cooled. It's unknown if the cooling includes the battery.
Charge speed is 6 kVA on DC, 20-80%. It fully charges in three hours on AC type 2 (probably 3,6 kW). That could mean that the battery is around 10 kWh. Which makes energy consumption per km (range of 130 km per 10 kWh) similar to my experience with 14.4 kW battery Zero.
All lights are LED.
The 18 kW motor is supposed to be comparable with 600 cc ICE. Electric motors feel considerably more powerful than the numbers suggest, but this is a stretch.
Display is five inches with mobile phone connectivity. So you can get directions in the dashboard. As a middle aged man my eyes would prefer at least seven inch.
