If I could get the old one at a good price, that would be my choice.
They prices has not dropped here on the old ones. But it might happen if they have "leftovers" when the new model takes the market.
2021 was a real improvement in the old Himalayan.
The initial problems were sorted.
The 2023 is even better.
So maybe a used 2021 or 2023 would be best for me.
We will see where prices go.
Adventure model: Panniers included. Add a top case and you have a good travel bike.
No need to spend a lot of money on extra items to get a good bike.
I can live with the 200 kg and 25 hp
The Center of Gravity is low.So It does not feel that heavy
And the power is enough for twisty roads (Where I want to go)
Of course 175 kg, 35 hp, tubeless tires.... Whish list.
But the RE 411 is good enough for the trips that I would like to do
=
PS
The new owner of the Benelli thinks that is a fantastic motorcycle.
I hope that I have sorted the issues, and that he will ride without problems

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Took my Innova out for a spin today, not too far, just up the Fosseway and then back to Bristol.
A couple of easy greenlanes just to start getting my head back in the game as it’s only 3 1/2 weeks to go til I ride down to Bardoneccia for a couple of days on the trails

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
I do not care about the spelling.
" I ride down to Bardoneccia for a couple of days on the trails"
Did not sound like a such a long trip.
"A couple of days"
So I thought that might be something completely different
How long time do you plan for the complete trip ?
How many kms/miles ?
Have a good trip and post some reports

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
I’ve got just over a week. It’s a short one for me at about 1800 miles. The quality of the trip will depend a little on getting favourable weather as I’ll be on my Innova.
Cheers

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
How does your planned route look like ?
Passing Combe Laval (again) ?
It will be rather long days.
Camping or hotels ?
It think that it will be perfect season.
End of May, The summer starts to arrive.
But still low season for tourist.
Good prices and not crowded
RIde safe

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Yes, I agree this time of the year is lovely, but you never know what you’re going to get… one year I was camping in France and it dropped down to have ice on the tent in the morning and I had a very lightweight sleeping bag
The days will be fairly long and being on the smaller bike (9.3bhp) motorways are out so it’ll be on the smaller roads and I’m expecting a few 7 hour riding days.
I’m staying in hotels so I can keep the bike lighter, if I was going for longer I’d take my tent to keep costs down. But it’ll be nice parking up and exploring a few new towns…. Dijon, Voiron, and then on the way back heading Vichy and Chinon.
Can’t wait to get going
