....Where the hell is all is water coming from?, I have mangroves growing in the lake that was once my Garden, everything is either green or black with mould and when the sun does come out for 10 minutes I just get blinded by it reflecting off the river...I mean road in front of me.
..its not even funny any more.

Re: *%^**!!!
Simple global warming--warmer air can carry more moisture and hence any rainfall is more extreme. The biggest worry is that ice melt in the Artic will stop the Atlantic conveyor currents and then we will get a lot colder--not even thinking about sea level rise and coastal flooding--London will need evacuating.

Yup it's too late the global wind currents have changed and then world weather is buggered...we are in for hot summer droughts and mild wet winters...
It's hasn't started to effect world food production but it's slowly ramping up...
So we better get used to changes because its changed for our generation...

Re: *%^**!!!
There was a long read about olive groves in Spain now being too hot for olives. It's making olive oil so expensive there that its gone from standard oil to a special treat. I guess that we have some lucky spain based adventures that could give an on site report?Tramp wrote: βSat Feb 24, 2024 6:22 pm Yup it's too late the global wind currents have changed and then world weather is buggered...we are in for hot summer droughts and mild wet winters...

Re: *%^**!!!
Iβm currently way down in southern spain, glorious weather, in fact recorded 50.2c in the sun last week (27c in the shade I hasten to add) Still in drought measures here, so low water pressure overnight and pools out of use. Really sounding desperate if no serious rainfall this spring.

Indeed, however the new wall should be porous in one direction only...Billy Bananahead wrote: βTue Feb 27, 2024 12:16 pmNot such a new idea but a good one.Crossrutted wrote: βTue Feb 27, 2024 11:36 am Alternatively, build a wall around London, keep them all in !
