Probably one for Paul C as he seems the only other Norden owner on here but, having got slightly lost at the weekend on the back roads round Guildford, I am considering finally taking the plunge to use nav but only want to use Google Maps on my iphone. I won’t use it enough to buy a stand alone Garmin etc.
There is a cover over a gps mount base above the speedo - can I get an adapter that will take a suitable waterproof anti-vibration phone holder?
Or other mounting suggestions?
Ta muchly.

Do a Husqvarna 901 search on Amazon. Two are listed, one fixed, one adjustable. I have the fixed one. The Garmin XT mounts directly onto it. You'd need an intermediate plate to fit something like a Ram ball to take a phone mount. Initially I drilled a hole in the removable block and bolted a Ram ball directly into that. It worked quite well. The one listed is better if you're using the Garmin which, frankly, has more issues than bonuses. My phone is now fixed with a handlebar ram mount.
Just along for the ride.

Thanks Paul
Amazon must be about the only place I hadn’t looked.
Logic says to use what is provided so it seems surprising they don’t do their own kit.
I’ll have a look later.
Had a quick look - I presume it’s the NICECNC kit as seen on Aliexpress as well.
I’m starting to think about just having a clamp on kit first as, historically, I don’t have much use for nav on a bike - I tend to meander and take roads on a whim but that does mean I have to find my way back to civilisation sonetimes!

You can't beat a simple Ram ball mount to handle bars with a Ram quickgrip xl to hold things nice and tight but have easy access when stopped ..
The nicecnc stuff has flooded every type of forsale market..its okay and some custom norden stuff...on my xt660z above clocks bar I use a zumo or a samsung tablet...but I use 4x m4 antivibration rubber mounts to help prevent shaking ..but that's a thumper not a smooth twin lol..

Is Norden so special ?
No handle bar ?
No mirrors ?
Shad makes a lot of phone holders that you mount
a) On the handlebar (or other similar bar)
b) Or under the mirror (that is what I use)

Water proof and enough of rubber in the mount to reduce vibrations of the phone

Of course it’s special!
My thought process was purely because it has a built in gps mount so thought using that as the base structure rather than a nailed on lump of aluminium and plastic might be more aesthetically pleasing.
Thanks for the info though. i’ll take a look later.
