Tomtom 550

Post by clutchspring »

Hi , is any one aware that tomtom are about to bring a new satnav out to replace the current 550 model,
I'm only asking as I was going to buy a new tomtom 550 but on some of the websites it stated that the 550 tomtom was discontinued !
Any one know any thing different,
Thanks,
Ian.

Hi. Can’t give you any updates, but I can tell you this. After 4 Tom Tom’s since 2011. I’ve finally seen the light and changed to Garmin. So much more responsive and intuitive to use. I wish I’d bought one years ago, but you tend to stick with the brand sometimes as you get familiar using them……. Have a look, Hope this helps!

Well I'm just the opposite, all way's had Garmin but have never got on with that base camp crap.
Most people I talk to seem of the same opinion as me , the last straw for me was the Bluetooth has packed up on my 660 and also while I was in Italy the Garmin refused to load up to get me back to my hotel what a pain that was.
Definitely going to go for a tomtom this time.
