Condition is excellent considering it’s over 20 years old and has covered 21500 miles, a testament to the build quality of the bike and the engine and the main reason why the DRZ 400 is still a much sought-after dual sport bike (that’s going up in value as good one become harder to find!). It starts on the button, runs perfectly and is the perfect green lane/Tet bike as it’s very capable off-road, but will eat-up the miles of tarmac between the trails.
Mot’d until December this year. I see no reason why it won’t sail through the next Mot as I’ve covered less than 200 miles since the last one.
Just serviced (Receipt for over £300) including all oils, filters, spark plug, new counter shaft seal and bush, valve clearances (which didn’t need adjusting) and cam chain check.
Tyres have covered maybe 200 miles – Mitas CO2 rear and Mitas C19 front. They were fitted after I bought the bike, when it went in for its Mot - along with new Michelin heavy duty inner tubes and new rim locks.

The bike is located near Falmouth in Cornwall, which I realise is the back of beyond. I bought it unseen from the previous owner, who lives in Cardiff. I’ve used Lee Costello Transport to deliver several bikes to me which I’ve bought unseen and never been disappointed with my purchase.
