especially as `anty gutterin` has told us to be terrified !!

In all seriousness though, I notice Welsh rivers are in a terrible state and the rate of change is such that I can see the difference at places I previously visited just a few weeks ago.
It seems to be fast approaching a tipping point and unless both us and the politicians start changing our ways then we are up shit creek and we've burned all our paddles

So although the guy in that first link seems like a bit of nutter, I agree that only Human extinction will save the planet and its what I expect to happen.

I think this is important. People will always tend to do what they want rather than what is good for the planet as a whole, if action is needed it must be legislated for.

If the consensus of scientists provide evidence that there is a problem then it is the responsibility of governments to act on that. Governments shouldn't do what we want, they should do what we need. Instead they all fill their pockets and worry about re election.
