dave at askham beach trail... mess about there and a short hop to the walney island crossing ..proper good fun

Is the tunnel open or is there another way there, we'd planned on visiting last week but only got as far as Kendal.

That will learn me to check the latest maps, I'd researched this many years ago as I like a good tunnel. I see it has now gone, it was a bridleway on my old maps.
