Nice to see the new bike
That low fuel consumption is good for the bank account.
Fuel prices are exploding.

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Not passed today and first ride to work. I'd forgotten how much I love riding the little hipster machine
Topped the tank off with super to balance out the couple of liters of 2 year old stale fuel it's happily chugging along along and it still cost me £12
How are you getting on with the new scoot Chris?

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Sounds like you’re enjoying it, though I think we need more pictures!!
Took a ride out to Hereford this morning, just a 110 mile jaunt.
It was proper foggy and cold but the sun came out just as I pulled back home onto my driveway
It looks like I’m getting about 120mpg on this one. I would have liked a bit more but it does cruise quite comfortably at 50mph and I think that may improve with the engine loosening up. Still gives a range of about 190miles until I need to look for fuel.

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Hi all
Ermmm yes the CT Was good however the Minkey is a better bike for me anyway:))
CT has a slow ish 4 speed box and a few times caught me out. Because of location i have to contend with faster
Moving traffic and unless you speed up the gear changes you will have cars right behind expecting to pull away.
The Minkey has a 5 speed and can change as wuick as you need to. I have a chance to put distance between me and the traffic.
Ive put ohlins on it all the way round and it’s absolutely a scream to ride now, great in the woods and lighter than the CT.
Love it!:))

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
I think the monkey is a great bike and I like the upgraded suspension you’ve done.
I had one for a short while and took it off-road quite often but the one thing that stopped me keeping it was the luggage carrying or lack of it. I chucked a topbox on and a tank bag and some throw overs but it didn’t quite do it for me…. I would seriously consider getting another at some point as you spend the whole time grinning

Re: Go Big and Ride Small
Ha brilliant.
I do need to think about the carrying part as plan to do cornwall on it soonish. Absolutely a scream to ride and the 5 speed gearbox makes it better, took it for some steep hill climbs and did it well.
Loads of options seem to be out there for panniers n stuff so will get on to it.!
