Hi All,
Just saying hello from Northern Ireland.
I spent many years on sports, retro bikes before jumping on 'Adventure' bikes, namely BMW GS, I blamed Ewan and Charlie for that.
Spent many years exploring mostly Europe then ventured into North Africa.
I'd always wanted a Harley so began on a Fatboy progressing to the ultimate Electra glide now called Ultra Limited. I enjoyed last 10 years riding and being part of the HOG, of which I was director of Belfast Chapter for 8 years. I don't know what happened but I got the urge to seek adventure again.
I considered returning to GS's looked at Africa twin KTM etc. Then last year Harley brought out the Pan America...................
Well I researched it and in January 22 I purchased the PA special. Its not the perfect adventure bike but I think Harley have give it a helluva go.
Looking forward to my new travels and engaging once again with the ABR's.
Im a newbie

Your post made me watch this - seems capable of more than I thought off road too (in the right hands).
Hope you enjoy the new bike and look forward to hearing how you get on.

Maybe its just me but i don’t like these sorts of videos. Its great that we all like different bikes, life would be dull if we all liked the same. i’d prefer to celebrate someone else’s choice rather than mock it. (This is not meant as pointed remark, just a personal observation).

Totally agree, I’m sorry if it caused offence, I didn’t mean it that way, I found it amusing that something simple such as slippery grass could hamper progress on any large bike. I remember one of the old ABR events where I counted at least five different offs just from riding on damp grass and they were all sorts of adventure styled bikestempesc wrote: ↑Thu Feb 24, 2022 11:10 pm Maybe its just me but i don’t like these sorts of videos. Anyway I’ve removed the video, sorry for any confusion.
