..... is stupid enough to think you can change the weather by giving more money to the Government, so I wouldn’t be too sure on that

brilliantly put !!
.. but to be fair, the government at least make a show of investing in alternative means of producing energy; wind, solar, bio fuel, tidal etc, and a bit of geothermal? .. but don't you think this Ethanol thing is just the (gradually more progressive) stick to be placed alongside the carrot of `less pollution`? .. I mean, the raising of fuel prices, with less efficiency and more hidden problems (especially for older vehicles) with the aim? of getting rid of these `older` `problem` fossil fuel vehicles ... so that the lure of Electric vehicles becomes more palatable, and even more socially responsible?
For Bojo and his clowns, I fear that it's all show and no go.
Unless he can line the pockets of his pals, he won't do anything.
Climate change reversal is really simple, just undo the damage. The hard part is doing that without destroying the way of life of the current generations of voters (who in essence make the (selfish) decisions) or those developing countries who cannot afford to do as we could. Add in those who don't give a shit and those too stupid to realise the extent of the problem and you come to the conclusion that we are, in essence, simply fu**ed.
I believe that humans will continue to destroy the environment to the extent where we become pretty much extinct, which in terms of the planet, will be no bad thing. I'm old enough that it won't affect me greatly, but I feel sorry for the youngsters. Planet of the Apes anyone?
