I started the magazine 15 years ago - you can read the history here.

Basically after 15 years (15 must be my lucky number this year) of working for other people doing stuff I little to no interest in I decided I wanted a job that allowed me to travel the world and climb mountains. Guess what, no one would offer me one.

So, I decided to create my own job and to cut a long story short Adventure Travel magazine was born. It's been a fantastic lifestyle business - I never wanted a publishing empire - and I've been able to travel, climb mountains, hike wilderness trails and look people in the eye and say.... 'I'm at work'.

I'll take you up on that offer one day, for sure, I can call that work too!
