After my last ride around the peak district on a Sunday , I decided midweek week would be best.
Few hours out with the missus.

Re: Midweek in the Peaks
Probably 4 years ago myself+wife rode up there midweek and got talking to a Police bike instructor with 3 students. He said it was pointless going up there at weekends due to the amount of traffic and the reduction of the national speed limits to 50mph had took all the fun out of midweek leisure riding.
I must admit that I'm at the point of "too much power is pointless" and my Himalayans 24.5bhp can break any speed limit, infact one of the Facebook owners group proudly displayed his speeding ticket showing 88mph in a 70.

Open your eyes and you see what is in front of you, open your mind and you see a bigger picture but open your heart and you see a whole new World.

Re: Midweek in the Peaks
It's on our doorstep so we make the most of it . I consider speed limits there as advisories .
Cops with cameras frequent the places i tend to stay away from , Matlock bath being one of them ,why anyone wants to go there is beyond me. Packed with bikes on any sunday , I dont get it , call me antisocial. They all nod wave on the road , park next to them and they blank you.
Anyway , off there again tomoro. Chin chin owd chap.
