Karma works both ways so I probably would have helped him pick it up just incase I bent mine round a tree and needed help later.

A few seconds of gloating, before the voices in my head will start to whisper about incidents in my past.

The time I lost the front wheel on loose gravel in a car park ... those times I forgot to remove the disc lock ... the time I stopped at a junction with really awkward camber and my right foot couldn't reach the ground. I could go on, but suffice to say I have a lot of experience of picking up bikes.

Interesting..... that interpretation has crossed my mind and I agree with it. Put another way, ABR (as a generic statement) is about bike riders who are on, or maybe considering or have done an adventure or adventures. It's not about riders of so-called adventure bikes because, as everyone should know, the term 'adventure bike' is a pretty meaningless and rather silly term. Manufacturers might disagree, but they essentially invented the term as no more than a sales booster.
