Be interested to hear what you think of it, Hugh. (If anyone is confused, I'm not the Richard who has just sold a Pamp)

Job done, met with Richard and came home with what was his bike.
Really nice to meet with you Richard and a pleasure 'doing business' too.
Arrived home safely and immediately sold the Alp to a friend, just hope that it doesn't disgrace either of us. Serow gave me a funny look
Thank you to everybody for their help and guidance. Bill, your old bike is happy with me now.

Nice to know it still around Hugh,I bought it new and had stronger SM wheels rebuilt onto the original hubs and moved some bits to fit the reserve tank. Enjoy

Greetings Bill,
Message from your old friend.
"Look at me with my new big sister Bill. Hugh is giving me a service before we go venturing out into the Peak District. Still have the little extra tank you fitted".

While you've got the tank off Hugh, could you do a pic of the extra tank installed?
Cheers

Greetings Richard,
You are just a bit late as I have actually removed the tank for cleaning the petrol system. The tank did not look as though it has been used much as it had some horrid coloured fluid in it. Anyway I did take a couple pictures which might help.
Ignore the gaffer tape that is just there to cover the air inlet to the air filter box as I washed the collected mud away.

Re: Gas Gas Pampera - wanted.
If it helps is I used to open the red tap when filling the main tank so it filled both. Then closed the tap to run on main tank, when it went on reserve on main tank reopen the red tap, this gave you the reserve plus an extra 1 litre from the second tank. Didn't use the filler cap of reserve tank If my memory is still working. Must of made a reasonable job if it's still there

Hi Bill,
Were you able to do an accurate 'in tank' mix of fuel and oil with that arrangement, or was it a case of pour in pre-mix only.
Thinking about refuelling on the road...although I guess the extra litre must have given you 15 or so more miles?
