That’s just up the road from me. The Misses would love to see that. Any chance of a map ref?
I'm not very good at capturing screen shots , it either where I've put the marker or the cross roads to the left. Nearer to Condicote in reality, I hope that helps ?

My first trail ride since the beginning of January.
I wanted to go against my principles and ride alone on easy lanes but did decide down the roots was better than up, bearing in mind my complete lack of ability at the best of times.

Is that the Coach Road from Alfriston? Definitely best going down the tree roots section 😄

Yup. It’s better than it was as the bank up the side is now the obvious route....in the dry. Not so good in the wet as you slide sideways.
Some of the roots must be around 100mm high but spaced just right to trap an 18” wheel with knobblies so you can’t get out either way.
They guy I sold my old 400 EXC to has been up it twice and 180 degree binned it once and 90 degrees into the hedgerow the other time. A triumph of enthusiasm over common sense, even though the ability is there in the background.

Offers invited actually, I bought it wanting to use it on lanes, but I hadnt really thought it out... its a _scrambler_ with low, std(forward) pegs and no ground clearance... so not only will it get stuck at the first rut it gets to, but its impossible to ride feet-up.

A little off piste excursion this evening  . Followed an old logging track which became overgrown with head high brambles, couldn't see what I was riding on then dropped down into this hollow full of ruts and nettles... :? . Was right next to the road by this stage but It was 2.5 metres above this level up a steep bank...got out eventually after sweating gallons. Found a nice clearing beside the road and sat down to take a breather....right in some fox shit... . Great way to spend a nice early summer evening
