Yes, I actually overheard this in Marlow High Street in 2007, and it was a significant factor in why I wanted to move from Marlow - a pretty little town by the Thames which became so horrifically middle class I couldn't stand it any more.

Yeah Pamela Stephenson had some fun with that. I suppose Rippon was trying to make sure we all understood that large hairy silverbacked primates had not started a coup.

She's become more irritating since, too. That bloody moaning consumer program in the morning is pretty annoying. Full of stupid gullible people surprised that they have been ripped off and scammed by a 50 quid stair-lift offer. Yes, Angela Rippon can go on the list.
