Offroad / on road, adventure suit recommendations.

OK I ride 50/50 on and off-road, medium weight adventure bike and enduro type, currently I have a triumph adventure suit with drop in liners, and enduro gear, My body thermostat is hit and miss, I'm either hot or cold, expecially my fingers and toes, 40year old good health, 6ft1" 36" inside leg 40"chest slim and long with a little belly , I have always struggled with body temp. So gloves and boot recommendations also. Currently use alpinestars tech 5's seal skin socks, I still get wet feet,mx gloves, gortex Frank Thomas or my favourite waterproof prolodgic waterproof fleece gloves. I'm looking at buying new suit etc for 50/50 use. Needs to be waterproof and multifunctional. Use on and off the bike, touring adventure camping etc. I can't justify paying £1000 pounds for klim type gear, does anyone recommend anything. Also not keen on the waterproof liners either.
Looked at the bargain rst rally and the alpinestars andes V2. Obviously the lower end, Im happy spending more maybe up towards £1000 for gloves, boots, pants, jacket etc. My gear get used and abused, obviously washed quite often also.

For boots I don't think I'd buy anything other than Sidi Adventure 2's now. They squeak, but you won't care.

I have a Dane Gortex jacket which I got for a few hundred quid and it's like a dry suit. I have a habit falling off in deep water and it's never let me down. Washes up well too. Recommend trying the brand.

I can't ride in thick gloves so I just have heated grips and reasonable circulation so can't help you there.

I bought a lovely RST Adventure suit a few years back, and its a great bit of kit for the money, albeit a bit big for me now. Last year I bought an Alpinestars Andes v2 suit, and its nowhere near as comfortable or breathable/ventilated as the RST. What the RST suit lacks is braces on the trousers, but thats easily overcome.

I bought some Sidi Adventure boots, and they are very comfortable, but I will be going back to Alpinestars Tech 7's at the first opportunity as they are much more appropriate/sturdy for the 50/50 riding I do.

I've recently bought a Klim jacket while it was on offer, it's one of the waterproof ones without any thermal lining but it has a mesh lining, twas around £300 from Adv Spec.
I've used it a few times over winter, usually with thermal top, t shirt, jumper and a fleece jacket and I've been warm. I suffer from getting cold so it's been nice to be able to stay warm and dry without the jacket getting heavier, then it dries quickly too.
I just stick to Kevlar lined jeans (loose) on and off road, then snow board gortex over trousers for trail riding and good walking over trousers for road.
Gloves, I've been using ski gloves but they don't stay dry, over the years I've found that loose gloves work best as tight gloves make my hand cold. I have a couple of pairs of ce approved non lined gloves for better weather and summer riding, I find them better than mx gloves as they don't make my hands cold while on road sections and they're cool enough while trail riding.
I've now got a pair of Sidi Adv boots and they have been completely waterproof for 2 years so they were worth the extra.

All in a lot less than £1k and it covers me for trail, road and combined rides summer and winter.

I think generally you get what you pay for. I've had a Klim Badlands jacket for a few years which I bought second hand. Frankly it's excellent. When it gives up the ghost I'll fork out and get another, hopefully in the sale though.
I've had excellent life and wear out of Halvarssons kit. My now very tatty Targa trousers have done well over 100,000 miles and are now relegated to green lane use. That said they're still holding together.
Look for good quality, not necessarily the badge, and a good fit. I'm cautious of magazine reviews. Even the long term ones are relatively short in my opinion.
