Cheers OB1 for that info, cheap ok.

I'm hoping my fully comp Honda Innova insurance quote may be around that cost as I've full no claims bonus and heading later this year towards my bus pass......

Found out today that my (new to me) 2005 model Innova scooter has only 1,258 miles ridden.

Couldn't believe it, virtually no miles at all, it's only had it's first service carried out by the Honda Motorcycle shop in Perth, Scotland when new, stamped via it's original service book.

That’s pretty amazing!
I’ve seen some good low mileage bikes in my time but would definitely prefer one which has been ridden and serviced.
Standing that long it’ll need new tubes and tyres, any damp and the inside of the rims may need cleaning. Probably new battery, and likely a proper ultrasonic carb clean as it could be sticky in there (and how many times have we encountered the stuck float and petrol flooding all over the place). Also I’d be looking at maybe new cables if they’ve got dry or sticky.
Sounds like you still got a bargain but definitely worth looking at the wheels just to check :)

That's the Innova's battery connected three days now to my Optimate Battery charger and it seems to be not taking/holding the charge at all.......so will start to look for a replacement in the near future. I've heard Motobatt batteries are meant to be decent and prices seem to be around £38 ish...

Onwards and upwards. I've the front brake caliper to remove/clean as it's badly sticking on, and will try to remove the carburettor to check for dirt/gunge/tarnish as it's not ticking over properly/steadily.

Love tinkering away at it at my own pace....!
