He was a proper ADV rider too. Went on a long distance ride around America on a GS after his wife died. I was never a Rush fan, and I hate his Ayn Rand-inspired lyrics, but Peart was one of the most talented drummers of his time.

Yeah, he's really good isn't he? He's done dozens of these vids now, and every one is like a music A-level / Diploma / Grade 8 standard analysis of the piece. A real pleasure to watch.IanB wrote: ↑Sat Jan 11, 2020 12:40 amsecond listen - magnificentdaveuprite wrote: ↑Thu Jan 09, 2020 4:54 pm I just discovered this guy's brilliant musical analysis stuff on youtube.

Makes me laugh when some people are so dismissive of rock/pop music when they have no idea how it is constructed and what went into the composition.

That's nice Billy. I heard there is some kind of documentary about Shannon Hoon coming out this year - his life, drugs and death etc. Should be interesting.

Aye not bad, the pictures are good too. Not heard the song for a while and it came up on my playlist, one of over 5000 tunes on my phone.daveuprite wrote: ↑Fri Jan 24, 2020 5:55 pm

Btw Dave, i'll be down your way-ish in June. Heading down to a place called Beynat for a week before heading back north to Brittany.
