ABR RTW Challenge

Post by ollie-abr »

At the start of 2019 four of the members of the ABR team set themselves a challenge... Well, sort of. In an effort to get out on their bikes more they created the ABR RTW Challenge. Sadly, only assistant editor James was up to the task and completed the challenge.

The premise is simple. Cover 18,000 miles (the distance calculated by The Guinness Book of Records to circumnavigate the globe) in a year.

This year for 2020 we want you guys to get involved too. Take a photo of your motorcycle's odometer with that day's paper and start racking up those miles. Keep us updated as the year goes on, we want to see where you've been riding, who with and how far.

We'll also be printing a leaderboard of the highest mileages in each issue.

So without further ado, let's get started!

I'll give it a go for this year, as required I've included a pic of the bikes dash plus a scrounged newspaper.

One week in it's a good start for James yet again, doing 532 miles. Will isn't far behind on 300, while I'm lingering on 100. Going to be putting some miles on this weekend hopefully though, the chase is on.

I suppose 4500 round trips to John o'Groats this year would do it, or maybe split the difference with Wick.
