It's what's called a 'boilerplate' response.
My experience of dealing with the BBC TV current affairs in matters other than motorcycling is that they pick an agenda, then seek supporting evidence. The conclusion of the programme is the first part of the script to be written.
Example: many years ago I edited a scruffy trade newspaper called Bus Business. It charted the fate of companies operating in the newly privatised and deregulated UK bus market outside London.
One day I got a call from a BBC researcher who asked for my help in making a programme which aimed to 'prove' that bus privatisation and deregulation had been a disaster. He explained to me that they would finish the programme standing at a bus stop and conclude that this was why buses always turned up in threes.
"Where are you going to film it?" I asked.
"London, of course."
"Err, you do know that the buses in London are still state-owned and regulated, don't you?"
The programme was never made!

I hold little sympathy for Tommy Robinson, but the Panodrama expose of the BBC TV Current Affairs dept was worth a watch if you want insight into how they operate.
I find BBC Radio to be more honest by far.

But Jeremy Vine makes me boil. It’s not just devil's advocate, he really seems thick.
I used to be a staunch supporter of BBC news etc but really don’t trust them now.
I do have a thing about Katya Adler though.

You can't imagine Sir Robin Day letting Question Time go the way it does these days, with panelists playing to the crowd and pulling faces at the camera and each other.
And, that's not directed at any guest in particular, but Any Questions on R4 is far, far better.

She looks scarily like the journalist that Francis Urquhart threw off the roof in the final episode of House of Cards series one.

BBC TV now deleting clips that don't play well for the Gvt
https://skwawkbox.org/2019/11/21/if-vot ... delete-it/
See also no repeat of live footage of scruffy Boris putting the wreath upside down onto the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday. They showed a clip of him doing it properly in a previous year. Imagine if Corbyn had done the same?

Greetings,
The BBC, and the like, seem to be fixated on numbers so have all the readers on here registered their complaint which in the first instance should be by email. However since the BBC's reply is in the public domain perhaps move to the second stage of the BBC's Complaint procedure and send a letter direct to; BBC Complaints, PO Box 1922, Darlington, DL3 0UR.
TTFN
Hugh.
