I had a good read of this list and amazing how few items have dropped off the list.

Most are still on it, some in a more modern format but still there.

Many years back I made a checklist for camping with the kids. It was always useful as a last minute check to make sure things were not forgotten. I still use it for bike camping but take the view not to sweat over forgetting something, you can always buy it along the way!!

One trip this year I did not use it.......remembered two hours into a 3 hour ride to a ferry that my passport was sitting on the coffee table as a result of having washed my bike gear [it usually lives in the pocket]....but as the ferry was to UK and passport not needed I carried on.

Brilliant.

That finally explains why I crash all the time. I keep forgetting my pugaree and my prayer book.

Any other problems, I'll just wave my flag about and try to refrain from shooting a footpad...

You know how I always like to be well turned out, Steve old chap.

By the way, if I catch you on our next day out riding without any permanganate of potash I'll be having strong words young man.

Amazing how a lot of it is still relevant even if modern updated versions are available. .

Swapped my old Webley service revolver for the Glock19.

Brilliant. It’s funny how an extra hat or cap is a necessity but a spare pair of trousers is a luxury

After 34 years of marriage I find the 'saddle and shoe lubricant' more appropriate
