Was meant to be sorting my garage pre house move, bit ended up fitting an alloy tank to my 449. It is a work of art

Thanks gents. I think it's meant to be about 26 litres, which should be enough for a good day out 😁

I took the opportunity to change the rear shock spring at the same time to one from a g450x (stiffer) which should help with the additional load (though i could do with losing a few lbs myself!)

And whilst on the subject of tanks, fitted a 2nd hand TT one to my xch last week. Tried to do this one a little differently as my other one doesn't afford much protection to the air intake. This time i cut the front/top plastic cover to the approx profile of the tank so that it sits in front of it, still covering the air intake.

They are a somewhat bulbous design, and whilst they are primarily for added fuel range, they also afford good protection to the rad in the event of a sideways fall (that was an expensive lesson! 😥)

I haven't done anything as such, but the KTM has developed a horrendous top end knock. It sounds like the little end had gone. As i'm somewhat displaced at the mo (tools in storage, bike at girlfriends and i'm living elsewhere, all 3 locations are 60-90 mins apart), i'm having to throw it at the dealer to diagnose and give me a quote for the repair. Its one thing after another.
Current bike is a Yamaha T7
