Anyone used these for gentle trail riding? Or are they a bit road biased? Named ‘adventure’ but described as ‘touring’.
Quite a saving over the Forma boots and I am also inclined to go back to smooth leather rather than mud hugging suede.
My W2 boots have finally started letting water in the toes after 7 years mild use and the instep has started breaking up from the footpeg spikes.
No point in chucking huge money out as, at my age and ability level, I don’t do winters now but wet long grass, particularly when doing horse trials seems to be doing the toe leak damage. None of our stream crossings seem to get above 9” deep or they then become impassable.
Please don’t bother telling me I need mega money ironclad boots. My foot shape needs something with a bit of space and comfort so hardcore boots are a no-no.

I went from the W2 to these
Forma Motorcycle Boots Adventure WP CE Approved, Brown, 41
Maybe not as comfy as the W2 when walking but better in every other aspect.
Those RST look too short for my liking and would worry about shin protection.

Good point about the height. Thanks for the thought.
Difficult to tell bur flipping between images does make the Forma boots look a bit higher up the leg.

I was going to suggest a trip up to Get Geared at Leatherhead as you’re not so far away.....but their website seems to be half non functional.
Are they still open for business?

Re: RST Adventure 2 waterproof boots
Thanks, I didn’t know they had a shop!
Also got Helmet City near Croydon.
With my weird feet, there is no point in buying before trying. My first boots were TCX mx boots size 12 for my size 10 feet. My god they were mind boggingly uncomfortable and leaked like a sieve.
I might wait until I get back from Canada now, if we do, as we fly back on BA on 27th, the last strike day. Don’t mind staying on a few days though. Maybe hire a bike in Toronto.

Re: RST Adventure 2 waterproof boots
I have the Forma boots and they are really spacious and comfortable without needing wearing in. I need really wide boots due to arthritis and the Forma's fit the bill perfectly, there are boots with more protection but if comfort is a top priority give them a try, I doubt you will find better for the price.

Re: RST Adventure 2 waterproof boots
I was originally looking for the Formas but got sidetracked by the RST.
Looks like I'm back where I started.....Forma try out.
Thanks for the replies.
